Brousa

BROUSA (BRUSA or BURSA): This prison camp was located in the Vilayet of Brusa in northwestern Anatolia. The city was situated about thirteen miles southeast of the Sea of Marmara and was connected by rail to the port Mudanya, ten miles north. The Turks incarcerated Russian prisoners of war captured on the Caucasian Front at Brousa and closed the facility in March 1918 after the repatriation of the Russian POW's after the signing of the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.
